Alone is the One

Alone is the One

We are steering East among the West-won stars.
We are holding their loses in our hands.
We are the play of chosen voices among mindless sounds,
Between inner feelings and outer demands.
We are but an hour in the span of time,
Crossing the oceans of fading seconds.
Alone is the one who takes our earthly moments,
And gives them universal life.
Alone is the one who has travelled the myriad paths,
And casts no shadow as he runs.
